What exactly does Rio Grande mean for me?

I was wondering what that title constituted. What differentiates a Rio Grande from other types of Wranglers?

a 4 banger with a trim package and a 20 gallon tank.

The YJ is no longer my DD. I have sacrificed all future retirement plans for jeep parts. I'm depending on social security!

The Rio Grande was created because the 4.0L engines were going to the XJ and ZJ. (They were in short supply.) So this prevents them from making more Saharas. In comes the Rio Grande. Basically a Sahara without the 4.0L. Different sticker/trim package but still upscale.

Speaking of stickers or decals for Rio Grandes...I see dozens of Sahara replacement decals but no Rio decals whatsoever. Makes me kinda sad in the pants. I'm not even sure what the sticker looked like but i'd like to get a couple

My Rio has a 15 gallon tank, a/c and tan leather seats, btw.

My Rio has the clotch seats wit the Rio pattern and that's about it. Has a 20 gallon tank, but a 15 gallon vent hose. Seems to have some TJish features, including the hood bumpers and tailgate hinges. Nothing too thrilling here. No AC.

I cant findout which mine is, either a Rio or an S.

the insurance company policy states mine is a wrangler S, but the dealership said it was a Rio Grande.

I have the Rio Grande seats, and AC, and for some reason, when I fill up at half empty, it usually takes about 9-10 gallons.

but I have no Rio Grande decals, or a wrangler emblem, hmmm...the mystery YJ

Hard to see, but its on the rear corner where the Wrangler sticker usually is. Not home, so I cant get you a good pic.

TJ-ish parts was not limited to the Rio Grande but most 1995.5 YJ's.

...A/C was only a Dealer installed option.
