What To Do To My YJ Next?

I'm running a 91 YJ, everything is stock, except im running a y-pipe straight dual exhaust..That is literally thw only the thing I have done to it.

What to do now?

Bumper, racks, lift, new tread, what do y'all think?

Get it muddy!
New tires can quickly change the appearance of the Jeep and help tremendously off-road

i would tear the carpet out and herculine the interior. it really helps strengthen the quality of the body, helps prevent rusting...not to mention you can just hose it out if it gets dirty. make it trail survivable before trail capable IMO

Not tires before a lift. It's money thrown down the drain if you're really wanting to trail the rig. Lift, then tires, then everything else.

Lift, then tires, then various skids, then axles.

Ok, when I say my Jeep's red, I mean it's red under the brown

My Jeep is all skidded out, I almost have full underbody skids..almost..

So lift, then tires correct?

What kind of lift do y'all reccomend? I would only like to go for a 3" or 5" lift.

Also, whats the big deal about axles?
Why chose between rockwell, danas and whatnot? If I do upgrade the axle what would be the best?
I don't do hardcore rockcrawling, but I AM NOT afraid to cross a river

Well I see from your profile you're running 33" tires with no lift. Do you have a body lift? Because I don't see how that's possible unless you rub going down the road. If 33's is the biggest tire you want to run, go with a 4" SUA lift. If you wan't 35's, go with a 2.5" SOA

with the soa you might not want the 2.5". i have old stock springs and i wish my cog was lower. but its worth the flex. if you do 2.5" and soa just go ahead and get tube fenders and run 40s

Y'all I have to let you know..I am a total..how can I put this..noob.

I dont know a YJ wortha ****. I just know that it always works, starts, run, muds, and is a complete and total badass.

I'm learnin, but I know for a fact, that I HAVE THE BEST JEEP EVER MADE!

What is good about a spring over..or under lift?
How would I go about performing either of the lifts?
I prefer to work on all my vehicles myself, but I know nothing of soa or sua lifts.

Would a "rough country" lift be considered a kit, or is it one of the two?

I honestly don't care about flex, I just want to run bigger tires, and have much better ground clearence

A winch will get you unstuck much easier than any other mod.

Why don't you tell us your goals with the YJ forst/ Will this be a DD? Trail Rig, Mudder, both? Without knowing yourplans, advice is useless. We can all spend your money quick. My suggestion is to figure out what your long term goal is and we can help. How much are you looking to spend?

put an aussie in the front along with tj axle shafts. or throw on a good lift, and spend the extra cash an do a sye, it was the best thing ive done behind the locker.
