Horn Works! Hurray! For the first time since I've owned it, ten+ years!

Took the steering wheel (Grant GT) beneath the cover to metal, where the connections touch and like magic... Beep. Man, that's a wimpy horn! But I have a horn.

Also, vacuumed it out, spray painted the frame where I pressure washed the paint off, cleaned out the PCV valve.

Now, going to drive it to the store.

had to jump out in traffic twice to jiggle the broken battery terminal when it died twice while sitting at the stop light trying to leave that mad house they call walmart today. Light would turn green it would die. And i hadnt even started to let out on the clutch yet.

I didn't do this today but recently. I painted my diff. guard and put my Rough Country diff. guard on that I got for free from a raffle at my clubs last big trail ride. Now I can shave rocks without worrying as much.

Installed hella 500ff's in the stock fog location. Wired so headlights don't have to be on to use them.
Then drove to my dads house for christmas. Got a smittybilt console, mile marker winch plate and a snatch strap.

Big brown truck brought me my new drive chain for transfer case. First snow was a great time to learn I needed a new one.

Santa brought me a Rugged Rudge center console, some camo seat covers and a chrome petal set. And finally my De Sta Co latch came for my swing out.

Got my Rugged Ridge Steering HD Linkage kit installed yesterday. Couldn't wait for today because we were expecting snow and rain today (which we have now on the coast in South Carolina). Fairly easy swap and only took about 1.5 hours. Spent a good chunk of that time cutting out the passenger side tie rod end (which was really worn and would just spin as I tried to take off the castle nut) and the tapered bolt out of the stock steering stabilizer (the kit comes with a new bolt that is not tapered). I was able to keep all the alignment specs fairly close but the steering wheel is a little more off than before. I will take it for an alignment tomorrow and hopefully they can further correct the steering wheel. Does anyone know if taking the pitman arm off and repositioning it would help? The one link up to the pitman arm is a little longer than stock and has no further adjustment.

By the way, everything feels nice and tight underneath now. The next repair will be the steering shaft which has a worn u-joint that allows a little play in the steering wheel.
