You know you just lubricated your brakes right? Brakes stops a car by using friction, WD-40 stops sqeaking by removing friction.

So did the squeaking stop and do the brakes still work?

Put new solenoids in my winch, gave out Tuesday night while attempting to extract an F150 with 35's. burried so bad couldn't see his tires! Also got it washed. Last pic shows what it looked like after Tuesday night.

I swapped My Rough country 4" springs for a set of new BDS 5"! Wow, My jeep sits 4" taller. I thought My Rc springs were saggin, but not that much! Now my 35"s look small.

Today I used tow ropes on my '91 Rnegade to tow my friends flooded out '82 CJ5 for about 3 miles back to his hous, I guess the 4.0L wins in winter reliability!!!

im new here

and

today I

1. Checked the 4WD Vacuums ..My Front Drive Shaft Was Spinning For 3months on 2wd

2. Fixed The 4WD Indicator Finally which turned out to be the
transfer case vacuum switch...that fixed everything Front Drive Shaft no longer spins on 2wd ...indicator switch works like a charm

3. undercoated the custom hood scoop on the cowel (dont know how that will last via mother nature) and finally found out why water got inside the jeep :/ the stupid Drain tube was clogged about half way up it with june bugs ... cut a inch off to prevent further clogging

Hhmmm, good find on the drain tube - I need to check mine as the culprit for water getting in. Mud daubers around here plug up every round opening they find with nests. I found probably a half dozen when I bought my YJ a few months ago, including one on top of the passenger sun visor.

Yesterday I finshed cleaning surface rust off the steering pump bracket and accelerator linkage and got the bracket painted. Had to let the Ospho on the linkage dry some more. And pulled the valve cover off to replace a weeping gasket "while I'm in there" R&R'ing the manifold gaskets. I couldn't believe how much the valve cover bolts were torqued - No wonder the cork was squeezed down to about the thickness of a business card.

Soon as the fog and clouds blow out of here so it warms up a little, I'll get out to the shop and create more progress to post up about. I don't want to spray even rattle can paint until it gets above 60F. Up to a whopping 56F at 1100, so far.

installed a set of leaf spring shims in the front. after doing the shackle reversal my pinion angle and caster angle were way off. istalling these shims has both real close to stock again.

I finally broke out the polishing wheel and polish and started having at it. The bad news is it's going to take a second coat of polish and ANOTHER 45 mins on the hood alone just to get all of the pepper tree stains off.

I like my toys to shine on the road
