Do a quick search in the forum for "Blower Mod" and you will find lots of info on changing out the OEM heater blower motor and replacing it for a 73 Chevy Blazer blower motor. This happens to be the one that AutoZone shows for at least the 90 and earlier Wranglers as well, "PM102" or Advance Auto Parts #35587. Not sure if it works for the later than 90 YJ's. Apparently the older YJ's and CJ's have very anemic blower motors. The main difference is the size of the motor is slightly larger and requires trimming out the hole in the firewall from a 2 1/2" diameter to a 3 1/4" diameter. Everything else is a perfect fit.

Changed the worn out and (broken drivers side) vinyl seats for a set of nice cloth seats with the headrests and Jeep logo sewn in. Also got rid of the 2 stationary drivers side seat brackets for a flip up base. Now both sides flip up and forward for easier access to the rear seat area. Both seats and bases for $50.00. Still need to go get the rear seat to match probably this weekend.

Finally put the soft top on this afternoon. Really wish it wasn't getting cold and wet out, I just bought the Jeep a few weeks ago so I didn't get to do much topless/door-less driving.

Put the heater assembly back in today, going to burp the system tomorrow and possibly install a pair of Polk DB461Ps that arrived today.

No one carried an exact replacement for the blower motor, every store referred to the upgrade PM102/x/e/whatever they called it. I don't have the tools, and the original works fine, so when it goes bad I'll just do everything over again, and cut the hole for the bigger motor.

Returned the Pepboys heater core and bought the OEM one from NAPA for four dollars more. I was worried because NAPA Online lists the core at $70, but they sold it in store for $44.

Finally found the correct 12 point socket to fit the head bolts (13mm deep well) at Lowe's. Came home and removed the head from the donor motor then proceeded to disassemble all the valves and springs. Will start the porting and polishing next...

Took apart the old waggy packs I got, cleaned up the main leafs and painted them. Going to build new packs that are longer so hopefully my SRS will work right. Rough Country has been no help getting it corrected.

Put the hardtop on for the season

Installed new gasket all around

Was a total PIA, as I have the Tuffy tool/speaker boxes and didn't feel like unbolting them to access the keeper nuts for the hardtop bolts...Took twice as long to reach behind them and try to capture the bolts...ARGH

Next week, start on the 8.8...
