Got her running again. Fuel pump wasn't running so I figured it was the ground, so I cleaned it and put some dielectric grease on but it didnt work. Figured then the pump was dead. I dropped the tank and found out the ground at the pump was off. I was glad I didnt have to buy a new pump!
Then I took her wheeling

Yep, sounds like a typical drive in the YJ.

I finally solved my rust problem. After an intensive 3 days of cleaning, grinding, and patching every little hole in my frame, it dawned on me. I dont have the paitence for paint, (ive painted it before just to watch the paint bubble when i blew a brake line)(ie. brake fluid..exellent paint remover), so i talked with a few old timers at work. One with a 72' ford, never had an ounce of rust. They told me the secret wasnt with what paint you used, or any paint for that matter. Paint traps moisture in the metal. They claim that by coating your frame in used motor oil, and driving it down a dusty road, the oil and dust makes a layer that salt wont touch. I just tried it last fall before winter, layed on almost 3 gallons of oil, made many trips down to the sandpit. i pressure washed the frame today, and wouldnt you know it, everything looks beautiful. That White salt layer came right off, and not a speck of rust. Never thought something as simple as oil and dirt, could work so well. (yes i know oil will come off in the water, and harm the little fishes, but i do trail rides and hill climbs not mud and water.. this method may not be for everyone)

Caliber locked up. Installed new calibers, pads, and rotors. Changed fluids and plugs. Pretty good day.

Got the garage all squared away, cleaned up, set up my work bench, got some new lights in, FINALLY got my stereo out there, got the jeep up on jackstands, tires off, ready to strip down and rebuild after some serious abuse on the trail

washed the jeep after my trip to the woods and changed my transmission fluid which had about a half a quart of water in it

Pulled the limo out of the ditch at my friend's wedding so she could get to the church for the ceremony. My backup plan was to take her in the jeep...
