Tracked down the short in my passenger side turn signals, finished wiring the stereo and then swapped the full doors out for the half...took the bikini top off and took the wife out to dinner.

Changed the oil. Pretty boring, I know...I need money for more parts. Unless someone wants to donate a CJ7 dash to the cause. I promise to do a great write-up.

Yes sir. I have a few items that help climbing walls like this, but yes. I have detroit lockers front and rear and Im also stretched 7" in the front and rear. So I literally just walk up to the wall, turn my tires a tiny bit and touch the gas and it will literally just crawl right up it. I love it. Its nice to do when you want to check for clearances or whatever. Plus it just makes me smile.

I just bought the jeep, the brakes were pretty much not there, and found out it was because the auto adjuster on the drums had fell out. Fixed that. Also the 4x4 wasnt workin so I did the c-clip mod and now I actually have 4x4. Next is oil change/tune up,and a windshield then Ill be ready to gettin dirty.

Went wheelin' with the ole' YJ!

Stuck on a rock. In Florida?!

Almost flopped it...

Some hill climbin'

And this is why I hate TJs... I must have spent 1hr or more waiting on people to adjust swaybars, track bars, and puting coil springs back in place... I'll take my YJ any day!

Only in a YJ.

Jake

Hi Line'd YJ

This is what I did to my jeep both Saturday and Sunday. Still have some finishing touches, but overall I am happy with the extra 3.5 inches of clearance. Total Cost... $0.00

Before

After

how did you decide where to trim? just start cutting and stop when its good enough?

I measure 3.5 inches into the hood, cut into it...then moved the fenders 3.5 inches upward.

The time consuming part was drilling new holes to remount the fenders. Also I had to go with my K&N intake instead of the ARB snorkel I had been using.

There is some great info here: DIY High Line Hood Mod for cheap : Higher Ground 4×4

I think the mod will work out nicely. I am trying to keep it low c.o.g.
