Rattle canned the hood, grille and right fender (previous owner got into accident and replaced with mismatched parts) Soft top came in yesterday.....installed today! What an improvement!

My steering box brace showed up today, and 15-20 minutes later, I had it on. I went for a test drive and I can't believe the difference! I highly recommend it to anyone with slop in the steering. I had previously replaced the tie rod ends on the drag link, and that helped reduce the slop some, but not nearly enough.

replaced the front exhaust pipe but bent one of the studs removing it. need to bend it back to get a complete seal. Would it be ok to just reheat it and bend it back?

I had some major ganster lean to my driver's seat because rust had eaten through the seat riser...

Well I bust out Mr. Lincoln this evening and straitened that seat riser back out and reinforced the corner with some angle iron. No more gangster lean, it slides forwards and backwards easier, and I feel like the seat sits higher too!

Putting the finishing work on my YJ. Installed the 4wd shifter and rod. Looked at a possible solution for EBrake. It looks as if the factory YJ cables will work if I cut 1/2 inch of spring off each side. But the Factory Explorer cables are a tad longer, and if I can make them work will be much happier.

Why not buy some double ferrules and extend your cables? It is a cheap method and you can have them exactly as you need. You can also just buy new ferrules and cable on a spool and make new custom cables. Cable and ferrules are available at http://www.fntpost.com if interested. I've bought a bunch in the past for trapping. Good prices and service.

Took the YJ out fishing. Hooked on our good old boat and she drove beautifully. Even on the highway.

It is just a 14ft semi-V I have been converting into a family bass boat. It is not that heavy. The trailer is the bulk of the weight. We also have a 14ft john boat we haul around. I've pulled around 4-wheelers, our two boats, and my two horse trailer empty. I would not want to tow a fiberglass bass boat or an occupied horse trailer though! At least not at highway speeds.
