Full tank of gas and checked all of her fluid levels to start watching the snow fly.

3 hours later put the boots on and gave a "good" road/ditch test in the 4" of fresh snow. Gonna be a fun winter

Went to the bike store and got cable, did the home brew posi lok on my rig. Not entirely sure if it was successful, think the 4wd light is burned out. Found a problem with the existing system though, vacuum pot is rusted through, so will likely have to pay for the real posi lok to get rid of it.

Got rid of the last couple rattles that I had identified, it's amazing how much more solid it feels when there are no rattles left, and you've been over nearly every bolt.

Put mine to bed for the winter.

Finished the clutch hydralic kit replacement; got it in the barn where it'll hibernate until March or April. Didn't have the time to change the oil or put jackstands under it; that happens in a few days.

Nope, it's a California rig. I got a front-drive winter-beater I can salt up all I want without fear...

Next spring: New radiator; the crimped ends are leaking too much to ignore much more. That'll be about the time the lame AX-5 dies on me...

My YJ wondered what the hell I was doing spending money on a new XJ and not dumping the money into it.

Just got mine back.

First post, but been lurking for a while. My 2.5 gave up the ghost, put in a rebuilt 4.0 HO, new trany and transfer case, and drive shafts. Now I know what I have been missing!!!

Just wanted to say that all the people posting here are great. Lots of great info.
