today,
I installed my new Tom Woods CV and started to install my rubicon front driveshaft. I got the pinion yoke on the Dana 30 swapped out, mated the driveshaft up at the TC, and then realized it's 4.25inches too short. DOH. Gotta drop it tommorrow to be modified.
I did drive it out of the driveway under its own power for the first time in about 6weeks.
Tonight I just about finished up the dash.
gratuitous CV shot.
yes, the driveline angle is a little off. I've got a Nth degree low profile tranny/TC mount coming to drop it about an inch.

Since you asked, I fixed a body seam leak on the left front. Painted my chrome hood scoop black and installed it. Adjusted my shifter boot so it wouldn't pop out of second and fourth. Basically it was a normal afternoon working on my baby and I loved every minute of it.

Must be water pump season. Mine blew 25 miles from home; violently. Locked up and smoke started pouring out from under the hood from the serpentine belt. I heard what sounded like gravel being shaken in a coffee can, and two miles later I was stuck at a gas station. This was at 5:30 in the morning. Called the wife, went home and picked up my trailer. Loaded the Jeep on it to find a flat tire on the trailer. The air hose at this particular station was out of order, naturally. Used my 12V Wal-Mart special, 20 psi and an hour later, drove to the parts store. Got my parts, (they had everything or I wouldn't be here to tell this story), got it home, ripped it apart, and found a bolt had come out of the timing chain cover behind the balancer, under the timing tab. No way to get the bolt out without removing the balancer. Went to a buddy's house to borrow his puller, then back to the parts store to get longer bolts for the puller.
12 hours later, with a new set of cuts and bruises, she ran! Just in time for me to shower, eat, and hit the rack so I could go back to work. What a day!

Yikes! That's much worse than mine... I just had a roostertail of hot green coolant jetting out of the weep hole on mine! Luckily, I was less than a mile from my driveway when it packed it in.

replaced the rear brake shoes and turned the rear drums. Last turn for these babies, will have to replace them with new drums or go with an 8.8 with disc.
replaced busted inner door handle also.

Got my Heater Working Finally
[RANT] I HATE SILICONE, that crap Cloggs everything, i have had to replace a radiator water pump thermostat and now the heater core is on the list of what needs to be replace due to dumb heads not wanting to pay 97cents for a stinking Gasket!!! it has cost me 100 bucks for radiator, 40 for water pump, 2bucks for thermostat, (luckily) nothing for the thermo housing (gota love Jeep budies), and now looking at 50 bucks for a heater core cause previous owner was to stinking CHEAP to buy a 97cent gasket[/rant]

Moved the idle down a little (brought it up a couple days ago when it was wet outside), around 850 now when warm.
Tightened the rear brakes.
Added ~4 psi to each tire, nice to see my new AR D-window steelies and the BFG ATs aren't leaking at all, all went down the same from it getting cold.

paid my parking tix, printed the receipt and taped it to the driver's side window so I don't get towed overnight.

I drove to class 70 miles @ 5:30 this morning. temp was about -5 and the blazer heater fan couldn't keep me warm! You know it's cold when you have to use a credit card to scrape the inside of the door windows while driving!
