Pulled AX15 out. Again! Pulled xfer case and bell housing off. Tomorrow starts the tear down of the tranny. God give me the strength to not beat it with a sledge and give it the .45 ACP treatment! Pulled tires and wire brushed frame to give it the POR-15 treatment.

Went to Rausch Creek, took it into Lake Christy, got stuck 1/2 way across and flooded the interior up to the middle of the seats. Also took out my CB, CD player, Nikon D80, Nikon Coolpix 5200, work BB Storm, and my brothers hand held radio that he gave me.

The snorkle didn't do too much for me (since I got stuck in the middle). Carnage to the Jeep included bending a bit of the front drivers fender and knocking the Buskwacker (knockoff) off in the front, busted Hella, broke the solenoid box on the winch, and filled up the other Hella and both headlights with a good amount of water. The electrical was a little funky at first, but got better as it dried out.

Luckily enough, I had some great guys wheeling with the group... Got rescued, pulled out the plugs, cranked it til the water was out and it fired right up. Limped it 20 miles home and it's parked out back.

Tomorrow will include getting a replacement camera for the D80, and then replacing the oil and fluids, and then drying out the rest of the interior pieces...

Pictures and video of the whole mess to come... My brother was up top recording, so I'm just waiting for him to pull it off and upload.

Fixed a stupid u=joint that left me stranded for a few.

Then I changed out the steering shaft, OMG what a difference that makes. I can steer now instead of just kinda ride along.

That's cool. What did you attach to the ends? (ie How will they be bolted to the interior door?)

Looked for vacuum line that was leaking only to discover that the entire Weber had come loose at the lower adapter plate. So pulled carb off and tightened down all screws again and plugged some other lines. Then drove her around by the water to enjoy the 80 degree weather here in Houston!

Put on new(er) rims and snow tires (2 sizes up from my all seasons, so i'm liking the hight). Installed nice SQUARE fog lights.... which lead to an issue with the connector cables for my battery when I hooked everything up. That problem has now been solved as well

I used the stock bolts and hardware, but just built loops into the ends of the handles.

contemplating selling them but dont know if there is a market.

Replaced all of the front brakes, rotors, pads and calipers...

Brakes had locked to the point they defeated second gear.
