I put the on going running issue aside today. I'm taking it to work and have one of the mechanics take a look at it.

Yesterday I made a secure console and mounted it today. . I got a military ammo box, I think it's a 20mm ammo box it fits perfect between the seats. I cut the lid (removable type) and welded the rear short piece(approx 4") to the box, then welded a heavy duty hinge to it then welded it to the longer front piece that is the door (approx 15"). Then I installed a 3/8" eyebolt to accept a padlock. If I could post pics I would post them. Cost, $17.00 for the box, I had the hinge and eyebolt. Oh and a few hours of my time.

I'm still in the process of putting my YJ back together from a complete frame build up. But got my new 7" TJ flares on yesterday. Once she's running, time for some BFG Mud Terrains 35x12.50

WOOT, finally got the 231 in 4wd!! And the damn light works, got to Home Depot bought a cresant wrench, cuz they dont have a single 1 3/16 socket. Check the t-case fluid...bone as dry!! Figures.....oh and tried to clean off the contacts on my int. cluster and now my gas gauge doesnt work..LOL. But hey 4WD!!!! Showering and hitting The Pines to test the 4wd in the sand........wahoo!!!

BTW..had to throw ATF-3 in it till tomorrow when the actual auto part stores are open.....sometimes HI sucks....NOT!! Figured it was better than bone dry for a day.

Had to take advantage of this 50+ degree weather this weekend...Off with the hard top, on with the soft! Put the rear seat back in. Installed a TJ rear bumper on the YJ as a temp fix until I can afford a good bumper/swing out tire carrier.

Fought with the 4 rear body mounts on the YJ build and got 3 of 4 to line up. Still working on the last one, then the gas tank goes in.

Got the coilovers finished up, brakelines ran, cage pulled, painted, reinstalled, duplicolored the tub, did some finishing welding, added a gussett here and there, cleaned up a lot of wiring, that's about it for today.

I did the front brakes and rotors and steering shock. I was going to do the back brakes but could not get the wheels off.

Let them soak and try another day. Was to nice out to waste time on it so I put the top down on the vette and cruzed to the beach.

Did my first U-joint on the front axle Saturday.... The needle bearings were completely dry and rusted in place! I can't believe it didn't go sooner.... time to do the other one soon.
