major??? hell,i was happy with what i got considering that the heep had just been completely rebuilt with a different motor/tranny, all on a new frame!!
fender flares are going to live a short life anyways on the trails that we do round here........i will admit the soft top was a bit of a bummer, but oh well, i thaught it looked gay anyways....

My son and I just replaced the poly gas tank that had fallen and melted against the exhaust. Not fun, these 20 gallon tanks are a tight fit.

Pulled the Jeep out of the garage and it was pouring gas from the filter. Checked it out and only had to tighten a rubber line. Then I pulled my junk Cherokee engine doner around the yard with the YJ.

Before

After

I also took every tool I owned and got ready to break some torx bolts
all of them came free with ease. I soaked the bolts with penetrating
oil and retightened so they will be ready for the frame install next
weekend. I got some 800grit and 1000grit sand paper to do some smoothing
this week. I think I am gonna go ahaead and pull the frame Wed and bring
it to the glass installer to have the glass pulled and installed on my
new frame by the pros. I hope to have it all done by the end of next
weekend.

I cut an access hole in the floor of my jeep so I can get at my gas tank and fuel pump easier. Gas tank modification thread.

Well, I started to go to the store and the dang thing wouldn't turn over...Long story short I was chasing wires until about 10 mintues ago and found a wire going into the ignition relay was jacked up. Man I will tell you this much Hanyes schematics are the worst...

Also since I had the battery track out of the way, I went ahead and re-routed, zip-tied, and cleaned up the rat's nest of wiring the previous owner made...its must be an electrian thing not wanting to have wires all in a knot...
