I desperately want a different pair of seats. The Corbeaus I have take up so much room. They also take a beating and it shows. Kinda crappy.

Using 2001 Yota Celica seats $125 pair and comfy.. Requires fabbing to fit...

started the frame swap.

here are some crappy cell phone pics of the progress.

rear pinion angle.

rear frame with tank bolted in. also the motor looks good back there... who is with me on a rear engine install?

front frame, you can kind of see the motor mounts.

now that's what i call a "body lift" get it... get it? i kill me with my wit sometimes.

just another crappy angle.

front chunk needed pulled again. next time it goes in it will have a high quality lincoln locker installed.

better pic of the motor mounts. we re-used my original design for them. cut and fabbed up from fresh steel then tacked in place.

straight from my build thread cause i'm lazy like that.

Started pulling the busted knuckle off and got all but the lower ball joint mut off. The nut and stud are spinning together. :

Any one have any removal tricks for this? I've googled and searched with no answers yet. I'm assuming it's going to warrant a ball joint replacement but I'm trying to avoid that at all cost if I can.

I once again bow down to the /f12 gods for guidance

Take a cutting wheel to it. It's not salvageable.

Either cut it off or take a jack and put under the ball joint and jack it up to get it to hold tight in the knuckle so you can take the nut off I've done that trick before.

Everytime I have this problem, I use a large C clamp to apply downward pressure, on the joint. And if you have access, use an impact for removal only.

love my jeep

Put most the drain plugs back in. Ever since I changed the thermostat, it just doesnt get as toasty as it used to shouldve waited till after winter lol then I test fit the new front driveshaft and...too long, of course. Not by a lot, I could bolt it in with maybe an inch of slip showing but I think I need more than that to be safe. So I can either have one of mine rebuilt, this one cut and balanced or give myself an inch stretch by redrilling the perches

Also, a buddy of mine at work just picked up a 94 YJ. Originally a 4 cylinder but the PO converted it to a 4.2 from an 86 CJ. Sounds like a bastard case but Im going to give him some spare parts to get going and help him figure out exactly what he has lol

Sounds like the perfect opportunity for a front stretch. However small it may be.

My buddy Tom fabricated two windshield hinge brackets for a set of round Hella spots we had laying around. These are on the flip YJ, but he's making another set for our Yellow YJ.

Tom states he has a template for them now. PM me when you're ready. We did drill into the hinge and frame to run the wiring.
