Welded ground and badly painted a split in body work on rear panel and fixed a non working door light switch. Daughter must have light under the dash!

Drivers side is a lot more expensive than the passenger side. How did you fix it?

Installed a new thermostat, now shes running like a top again! So I moved on to the gas gauge issue. All I did was clean up the contacts and ran a new ground and now thats all fixed. Then I removed the old ebrake cables since they were just hanging around, the exhaust shield since my exhaust doesnt run that far back anymore and the front sway bar mounts since they were bent from hitting things. Deciding whether or not to cut the track bar mounts off the front axle too.

Then I worked on my GFs 2 door and cleaning the shop all day sunday, what a busy weekend

Mine was actually sticking closed and roasting me alive in the Jeep lol now all is well and back to normal. I used the tip in the write up here on the forum for the thermostat, I used a little dab of RTV in a couple spots around the outside of the thermostat to help it stay in place while installing the housing

What temp on the stock temp gauge do your 4.0L's run at?

I've got a suspicion that there is no thermstat in the YJ that I just bought a few days ago. But then the oil pressure gauge is pegged, so it could just be a sending unit problem as well.

I haven't had a day off since picking the YJ up, so I really don't even know what's what with it yet. 181,000 miles on it, runs fine, but I put a few ounces of MMO into the oil to let that circulate for a few days before I give it an oil change on Thursday (weather permitting). Also put a very heavy duty magnet on the side of the oil filter to pull -ANY- iron particles out of the oil (goal being to get even those too small for the filter).

I'll probably also do the sucking of MMO into the intake through a vacuum line to let it work in there (it did wonders for my 1999 Ford F-150).

Looking for soft-riding, cheap 2.5 to 3" lift suggestions (I do not want a body lift). I have read a lot of posts on them, but haven't nailed it down.

Signed for my lift now I just have to wait for the 22nd to roll around so I can install it. Would do it this weekend but the Army won't let me.
