About this throttle body off a 4.0l for the 2.5l. Will any 4.0L throttle body work. Found one off a 2000 XJ for $30. Will it fit my 92 YJ with a 2.5L?

Is it only an upgrade for the 2.5? Or does it help the 4.0 too?

Yup! Mine is off an xj as well. You just have to swap the IAC off yours and put it on the 4.0.

Just a 2.5L. I think the 24# injectors from a 5.0 are an upgrade for the 4.0s but not positive so don't quote me on that

Sweet thanks. I'm picking up a set of 19lb injectors. If anyone wants the extra 4 and split the cost

$50 for 4

Ya IMO. With my setup I get 17-20mpg if I'm nice to it.

Don't really notice a power difference though.

Edit. OT. I've been trying to figure out what my next step is as far as repair/mod for my jeep. Got as far as makin the list but in no specific order.

Clutch, slave/master
Trans rebuild - syncros or sliding clutches are taking a beating lately.
T-case rebuild or replace w/ rubi case
Ujoints in front axle shafts and front dline
Frame repair (skid and steering locations)
Rear stretch (xj springs)
Cut xj dline to fit stretch
Sye
Cut rear floor out for tank to sit inside
Fab firewall for tank relocation
MC arched front fenders
Rear corners w/ custom tube flare
35s

My 258 is a 1990 rangler and I did the same upgrade what a sweet dream.

I also have the 703 injectors, not 710. 710 is often too much pressure for standard setup engine. Thats what id recommend over the 710 They are easily searched here as neon injectors. Make sure you get new o rings for both ends of the injector

Also, to swap 4.0 throttlebody , make suree it has 4 mounting holes, not 3. 3 was renix.
