I plan on doing a whole build thread on it. The point behind it is, I started with some MDF, and went from there, it was a learning experience for sure. Almost got my overhead soundbar mounted, doing a thread on that, too. Won't be for a few weeks, been working on it here and there between nuclear physics, family and being a lab tech, hard to find time

That's a cool project, Predat but I wouldn't give up my Tuffy for anything.

I'm confused. Will 2 of every animal fit in that Noah?

I like it. I'd just use an oak veneer, finish sand it and use some varnish for the natural wood look.

Havent been to my garage in awhile. Finally had the chance to and I changed the oil, oil filter, air filter, cleaned the engine bay, gutted and sealed my airbox. Seems to be running a bit smoother now and holds hills better Since the lines going to the airbox for the flapper thing arent needed anymore, I think Im going to run my breathers to those ports. That way everything will be water tight up to the snorkel

Went to go fill my tires up and found out my compressor stopped working It was too late to try to figure it out. I tried resetting the circuit breaker, turning on and off but got nothing. I guess thats going to be my next project at the garage although Ive never troubleshot a compressor before.

8x23x16 (WxLxH) The lid adds .75" to either side and the top, but fits the curvature of the seats just fine. Pic was taken with phone, so I should have my coffee mug in there for scale, my bad, lol.

I recognize Tuffy's quality, but the reason this project started was because of lack of jeep funding, and I had some MDF and slotted angle lying around the workshop with a crap ton of tools

Or you could be like me and say, OOO I can do this. Get halfway done and call it good! Then hear endless nagging about 1/2 finished projects all over the house and garage.

Anyway, went to the junkyard and found a ton of 8.8 to choose from. Guy wants $300 for one
also scored a temp/compass mirror for $10 off a suburban. didnt have the reader lights could only find those on the Onstar ones. /shrug

Trying to get my house ready to sell and every half finished project from the last 15 years is slapping me in the face.

$300 seems a little high, but is probably fair if that's pulled and loaded.

I have grabbed a few lighted mirrors from Blazers in the past. That's a handy mod.

How come you are selling your place Jeff? Where are you going to move to?
Probably a big garage with a bed and bathroom eh?

Parallel lives.
I have two weeks... Inflicted by choice rather than necessity. Things happen quick at this age. Landed an excellent job in my dream location. A three week turn around from interview to start date is a tough one to swallow buts its going to happen. I hope you have a similar situation.
