Just happened right now. Drove fine. Went to a doc appointment, came out 20 minutes later, no power.

Even the horn wont work. The relay clicks when the horn is pressed but no power to the actual horn.

Cheers

Tried jumping it and it fired. Time for a new battery and find the leak! I've never had a battery drain in 15-20 minutes before....

Thanks for the quick advice!

Cheers

Cut, grind, repeat. Trying to get the absolute closest to TJ fitment of my flares as I can... not sure if its worth it.

If you're happy it's worth it,

if you're not cut, grind repeat.

Get your alternator tasted too. A battery can run an engine for maybe 30-45 minutes by itself. Had it happen to my friends YJ. Jumped him only to have it die three streets later.

Edit: NVM. Just realized you drove it. check it anyway! It'll give you something to do. Lol

In the end, I was never happy with my TJ flares, so I cut everything off.

If it tastes like butterscotch it's going bad. If it tastes like old Doritos you're still good.

Red drilled the holes for the Flushmount taillights. Raised the driver side 1/4" and lowered the passenger side 1/4" now they are symmetrical with each other. I also washed and waxed it.

Ha! Yeah once I jumped it I drove to the parts store, let it idle for 30 minutes while I waited for a "tech," then tested the battery. It is literally completely drained. Alternator was charging at a full 14.5 volts though!

I plan on going through all the grounds and connections tonight/tomorrow and cleaning things up. I was going to wait until this weekend, but the Jeep is demanding attention. She's more pushy than the last!

LMAO!

It's weird too....Justin's (ZER030), my best friend with the JKU, had a dead battery this morning. I actually jumped him this morning so he could head to the parts store. He got his tested and it was toast so he had to buy a new one today....

Not 4 hours later I called him to bring me tools and give me a jump haha! What are the odds? Must have been the 30* temps we had last night...

Cheers

Made it run much better!
It had 3 vacuum lines that should go to the stock air breather that doesn't exist since whoever put this Weber carb on it....
The nut that holds the throttle linkage to the butterfly shaft was 5 turns loose, the carb to intake bolts were loose, and the distributor hold down bolt was loose as well.....

So I tightened all the loose stuff, plugged the vacuum leaks, "set" the timing(I think the distributor is spent, as the timing mark hopped all over the place when I shone the light on it.... So I set the timing by ear....), adjusted the idle mixture on the primary venturi, and adjusted the electric choke.

It runs good enough now to squawk both rear tires on the 1-2 upshift without trying. Not bad considering it's got 31s and 3.07 cogs

New shocks. The old ones were only stock from 93! I was amazed Adrian Robinson how easily they came out. Can't wait to drive her tomorrow.

The pain was inflicted and I was addicted..
