Is it just me or does this sound like an awesome deal? Obviously they'd need re-geared but still. What do you guys think?

Im not gonna lie, i dont know a thing about rear ends and re-gearing. Is it worth the hassle? Also could i use both of them or just 1 for the rear?

I don't think you'll want dual rear axles. Especially mismatched ones.

haha yea that'd be a problem. but yea the purchase price is the lowest part of doing a serious axle build. 100 is a good price but its not insane. 14b and dana 60 axles are a dime a dozen now. you'll be spending in the thousands building them to work in your jeep though not the mention the need for a matching front axle

I'd grab the 14bolt for $100 and regear it. U can find a factory Detroit for one just about newhere and if u weld the tubes to the center section a 14bolt is dang near bulletproof. I have one waiting in the wing to go under mine whenever I find the right hp60 front axle. The 14b is from one of our company vans, a 96 Chevy I beleive n it had 4.56s with a Detroit in it from the factory. It's finding an building the front that's usually so costly, if u find a dana 60 drivers drop with the right gears u need, jump on it. Then find a rear to match, or buy that one and regear it once u find a front. Parts for the 14b r Very easy to find, and not all that expensive for a 1 ton.

I went out in the pouring rain to throw a tarp over it, because I forgot to do it last night....
I opened the tailgate, and pulled the floor plugs to drain out the 4" of water it had in it....
Gonna take a while to dry it out....

Just got back from wheeling. My bud is out of town so I took his jku. Holy crap did that make me miss my yj in a hard way! The wheel base sucked, the clearance sucked, it felt like a boat, and wheeling a stick after wheeling an auto all year took a minute to get back into.

All in all jku boo,
Yj yay!

I did meet a local yj guy finally. He was SOA with tons and 35s and a 5.2 swap. Beast mode! We chatted a lot and he has a 5.2 sitting in his garage. For $100.00 its mine...I'm headed out to look at a new yj tomorrow. A new v8 yj may be in my near future!

Cheers
