I can barely read that, but I think I get the gist of it. They are indeed a hack-job type of spring mount, pre-cut and just waiting for the end user to weld them together. It must make the final install much easier, and cheaper too.

Anyone ever get the feeing after you fix something that you should have fixed it a while ago? New steering box is schweetttt but makes me realize how bad the old one was
