I take the plug wire off the coil and use a screwdriver to bridge a spark between the coil terminal and the plug wire. Easy way to see if your getting spark there.

I measured from the round crossmember on the front to the center of my"homemade" motor mounts 30". As far as up and down just make sure you can shut the hood before you go any further. trust me on that.

Drove over to a guy's place from this forum who's selling a set of beadlocks on krawlers. I wanna pull the trigger but need to sell my tires/wheels if i do. Posted an ad in the classifieds. Perhaps someone in here may be interested. Details in profile. Nearly new.

Changed out the 20 y old windshield cowl which was all cracked on the outside and the faces of the gear and 4wd sticks.

Damn windshield was a b!tch to bolt back up to the cage pipes thought i was gonna break the damn thing pulling it back. Good thing the lady was available to gently thread the 4 bolts while i pulled the ws back ..phew

Seems like the stock springs are going to HAVE to go soon. Saw the rear ones are starting to arc up at the main eye and i don't wanna be driving when something snaps so that's moved up to the top of the todo list...

Great, I'll check that 30" measurement. I only had the bellhousing on the engine when I test fit it. If I had the trans on there It might of hit the tunnel with engine sitting level with the jeep. I put the 1" body lift on as I needed it for the belly tuck anyway and it still looks close. I'll just have to try it out and see. The hood will shut no problem. You can see here how much clearance I had from back of engine to firewall.

Drove it to the mud bog and parked next to this monster!

It had LULL axles under it on 44's, and it was relatively lcg. SICK!!!

The big kicker that surprised me on the yj is it had a stock 2.5/ax-5/231!!!!! The gearing in those axles is crazy low!
Then my buddy mad 3 passes in his yj, 70ft. everytime. Not bad for a stock 4.2 with some 33's.

After his run.

I don't know about anybody else, but I wish you would stop posting pictures like this here. It's getting drool all over my keyboard and my fingers are getting tired of pulling my wallet out to check my funds.

Agreed My swap cost me a lot more than I expected but it was well worth it.

My wife wants bigger tires on her YJ and can't visualize what they'd look like.
So I had to take one of the 31s off her ZJ and bolt it on the front and then the rear so she could see what it would look like.
Will need 3" of fender flare to keep them legal in Maine.....

I replaced my entire driveline with a modified 4L60E and an Atlas. doubt a stock driveline would hold up to this motor.
