Finished up repainting my grey hard top black with bed liner. I'm extremely pleased with the results. Completely changes the look of the jeep.

Happy INDEPENDENCE Day!

Installed the 4 rear axle shims in place of the 6 ones I had installed, to better align the drive shaft and pinion. I also trimmed the rear portion of the front fender openings approximately 7/8" in order to provide better tire clearance. Installed the new 15x8 3.75" back spacing Pro-Comp Series 51 wheels to better fit the tires and gain some additional wheel clearances. Still some rubbing at the top of the front wheels when the front axle is articulated to it's maximum position.

Same here, I liked my 2000 TJ a lot but like the YJ more. The only advantage the TJ had was 3.73s instead of 3.07s LOL. I think that if extreme wheel travel is your goal a TJ is better, but you'd spend more on that suspension than I paid for my YJ ($3400.) I don't rock crawl and I have other things to spend that money on.

We've only had the YJ for a week. It's rained almost the whole time we've had it.
Today was sunny, hot, and super humid.
So I took off the doors and the hard top and my wife and I cruised around most of the day.
She was really nervous about driving without doors at first(mostly left-hand turns), but by the end of the day she warmed up to it a little bit.

I loved every minute of it except that there are no outboard mirrors without the doors. I'm big on having mirrors. I'll fab something up
