Big and round takes up a lot of space and cuts the output into a 3rd. But I've ran them before and had no complaints, until I learned better

I hated the big round lights on my windshield. They didn't make as much light as the LEDs and they blocked my view.
The Rgid Duallys draw less current than your turn signal bulb (one amp each). Good for the alternator/battery/wiring, and they each kick out 1300 lumens.
My Hella 550's (halogen) make a good flood pattern. But the current draw is large. A 20" two row LED light bar kicks out 7000 lumens at 6 amps. The Hella 550's each use a 55 watt bulb and put out about 500 lumens.
The power efficiency of LEDs is obvious. A high intensity halogen light is typically rated at 100 to 150 watts. This translates to a battery current draw of about 8 to 12 amps per light. A comparable HID light is 35-watt that would draw about 3 amps of current. For similar light output, you could use a 6 inch LED light bar that would only consume about 2 amps of current.
Yep, LED bars are more expensive. But the amount of clean light they put out and less drain on your systems is worth it if you can justify the money.
We are all independently wealthy, that's why we all have Jeeps.

It's just more appealing to me, I don't like the looks of the square led lights. I do agree that they are better lights, I have a picture of what the perfect 4+4 is, and small square Leds just don't fit.

love my jeep

For whoever's lookin to do something similar. Its not rocket science. U just have to make sure to measure reallllllly well for clearance on all sides and to remove/install the spare.
