A partial tummy tuck should put u at the right pinion angle. 2 birds 1 stone.
PPS: when my angle was to high, i blew the sleeve yoke end of my rear driveshaft while gunning it in a rut. The ears of the sleeve yoke bound with the ears of the 8.8 flange adapter and BOOM. Most likely why u blew ur ujoint as well. Just a wild guess.
A partial TT would be a pretty good mod at this point. I'll look into it! I either blew it because it bound up during some flex and skinny pedal (maybe, but don't think so) or it's because when I was installing the caps, one side lost all the needle bearing and I had to repack them in myself and I may or may not have buggered them up...
Since there was no way to tell I just crossed my fingers lol. I will for sure be carrying spares from now on though.
Dude that's freakin nasty!!! Love it!
Thanks bro! I still need to finish it up but driving it around yesterday I got a lot of honks with the driver flashing me a grin and a huge thumbsup lol! It looks pretty good and I'm happy with it.
"it was pure sex right there in our living room window." All I could think of was a quote from Xmas story...that thing is bad a**. Way to go.
Thanks man haha!
The paint job is a 5-10 footer which is honestly about as good as my paint ever was anyways so I'm satisfied with that. After this heatwave passes (supposed to be 108* today) I'll get it all wet sanded one last time and all the little things touched up. Efff doing that in the heat though!
PURE WIN! Just awesome.
Dude that looks awesome! I'm sure I missed it somewhere but what paint did you use? Using a spray gun?
I used Rustoleom enamel and rolled it on. Pretty easy just time consuming.
So I took a TON of pics of it yesterday out on the trail, along with my bikini clad copilot and not a single one of them saved to my card.
I will have to sort though the GoPro footage and take some screen caps to share, and then I'll finally update my build thread with all the crazy changes that have gone on in the last two weeks.
