By the time I got showered up, the Jeep loaded, and tools put away it was 5:30 am. Had to leave to meet the wheeling group by 7am so I ended up just getting breakfast and coffee and heading out. Dear lord I'm tired now!

Then wheeled the crap out of it today. Overheated in the 104* heat when the ground popped off my fan. Then I blew up my rear u-joint and drove the 35 miles home in front wheel drive lol! I think my pinion angle on the 8.8 ended up a scosche high. Is there any way to bring it down a notch that does not include shims or new perches. Looking at how everything settled I'd say it's about 2* high of where it should be. Not really any vibes except during a hard launch, but I should probably deal with that!

Oh and a pic from last night...I'll get more up later.

Time for a shower and a nap...

Cheers

After meetin up with juicyj to buy my duster, I used it to pull up bushes and stumps. Then went on about a 100 mile cruise.

Dude that looks awesome! I'm sure I missed it somewhere but what paint did you use? Using a spray gun?

I used the FelPro 1 piece gasket. Which made it really easy thank goodness. I used red rtv so it could handle the heat.

I finally started building the tube fenders for the back of my rig yesterday. HOPEFULLY I'll be able to get them skinned and painted today. I used 3/4" gas pipe, a pipe bender and my MIG welder. I found some bolts and welded them into the ends of the 4 mount points with a lock washer and nut on the inside of the fender wells. I'll get more pics as they progress to finished.

Apparently you got my point.
I bought two sets of cavalier seats on a recent trip to the yard, figuring it would save me a second trip since I work on more than one Jeep at a time. So I went to install a set on my wrangler last week and they're not even close to bolting up, now I need to make brackets or buy different seats

IIRC they changed the seat brackets in the Wrangler in "I think" 1990. The newer brackets are a better fit for them.
How far off are they? There is an entire sticky thread about YJ seat swaps, what to do, what fits, etc....

I got a pair of seats from a 93 IIRC to put in my 90, and the 90 seat rails were too short to reach both bolt holes in the seat pans. I just cut a couple extensions from 1/4"x1" bar stock for each seat, drilled & tapped holes, and installed them at the front of the seat rails. 2 more pieces of bar stock at the rear leveled the seat.
