Tom Woods is awesome and I have NEVER heard a bad thing about them. I cant personally talk about the strength. (still building) the but their customer service is great. The shaft looks to be built properly. And again everyone I've talked to praises them. Also pretty sure if the shaft breaks and is not due to neglect(broken weld or u joint support) you get another one.

I'd trust them more than this guy who builds driveshafts out of his garage. Lol

Sent from my phone because I'm doing something "more important"
Tom woods does have a good warranty and even a broken weld is covered by them, Im still probably going that route when I cross that path but it was somewhat of a flag. And this guy works for a well known company. A friend of mine did my front drive shaft for 1/10th of the price and did it out of his garage but I wasnt worried about it being balanced.

Drove home in flash flooding. I think I got up to the bumper in some areas.
Almost got caught in a current, turned back before it was to late.

Tom woods is the standard but Tatton is a driveshaft artist and IMO makes a better driveshaft.

If I didn't get my TW shaft for cheap used, I would have gone with a Curtis Tatton driveshaft.

Nice.... Take your time and do it right. If it turns out like the pic it's epic.

I have all week of my Jeep being parked until parts arrive to finish up the 8.8 so I have plenty of time to prep it and paint it right without feeling rushed. I'm on my way to find some paint right now so I can start prepping tonight. Maybe I can get some paint on by tomorrow afternoon.

Cheers

Primer gray? Should be cheap if you go that route.

Sorry to hear about failing inspection, especially for something like a wheel bearing. I thought just having to go through emissions sucked, I wouldnt want to live in a state that had inspections too
Just curious, but if you don't consider bad wheel bearings serious enough to fail an inspection, what WOULD you consider serious enough? I guess I just can't understand not wanting to keep your vehicle at 100% or as close as humanly possible at all times, instead of doing the absolute bare minimum required to pass a state inspection that merely certifies your vehicle meets an absolute minimal set of standards. I've lived in non-inspection states, and it's bad enough that 75% of the people on the road aren't paying any attention to the road. I don't want every 3rd car to be a S-box or death trap because people won't keep them up without someone taking them by the hand and making them.

Gonna kick it old school and hand paint the mouth on there. The rest can be vinyl stickers. I'm pretty handy with a brush and a rattle can and I'm 100% sure I can get a clean, pro looking job.

Driving around town looking for paint right now

Cheers
