Here are some pics...
Nice, I'm trying to see if the Planetarium director will part way with his older telescope travel boxes that aren't in use anymore for this reason, make some locking sliders so I can make space and switch around stuff still. He's got these smaller ones that will fit perfectly on the wheel wells just under the rollbar angles.

Patched up the cooling system leaks and made damn sure everything was buttoned up right. Now that I'm more out of my funk (new PTSD meds are working much better and the marriage is settling back down to normal), I can pay more attention to detail. I was getting derailed for a bit there, but am better now.

Scrapped my initial framework design for the center console and decided on project board instead of metal reinforced angle iron, just to simplify the design. I'll still reinforce it slightly to support up to a person's weight so it doesn't break on me, I have a press-tester I can use on that, goal is at least 250 lbs. This will house the media head unit, amp, locking storage and cupholders. Will post more details on it later.

Got the engine mounted, but the input shaft and pilot bearing are not lining up. I have decided to drop the TC/Trans instead of pulling the motor out again. And rain is keeping me from wiring and plumbing. Jeep sits in the drive way.

If I didn't occasionally have to carry passengers back there, I would totally rock that carrier! Well done!

So what started as a joke has really got me thinking...I'm lightly flirting with the idea of painting my YJ like this;

Why? I don't know!
Started as a joke with my buddy yesterday, and now I can't stop thinking about how to make that work haha.

Maybe I'm just bored since I don't have anything to work on right now!

Cheers

I like the spare rack too, but I don't think my kids want to share the space..

Have somebody that is good with photoshop modify a pic of your Jeep with that paint scheme. My son used to do that for a body wrap company.

I vote you do a more updated version:

Or my personal favorite:

We have a couple jets painted like the 2nd one here, that was the unit @ Barksdale's paint, they just recently closed and the jets have been distributed around the CAF.

I just got done taking off my 36s to put on a set of 28s for inspection tomorow. Also had to put sum temporary fender flares in the front. It looks pathetic like this haha

You would get ticketed here for the frame being higher than the rim.
There was a post a couple years back where somebody lived in an inspection state. He failed because his flares didn't cover the tires or some BS like that.
So he went to Toys-R-Us and bought one of those blue plastic swimming pools and made flares and then painted them black.
it passed!

Thanks for the link! That looks boss haha! I've never seen a Jeep painted like that and thought it would look pretty cool/unique. Now I know it would look cool! Now I really want to figure out how to make it work on my YJ. Since I have 'cloaks I don't know where I could paint the mouth. On the bumper? The grill? Inner fenders? It wouldn't look right on the hood since it's so high up....

I posted in the PS request thread to see what they could do

Oh god the warthog tusks look sick!
I have to figure out a way to make this work now.
If I can figure out a good way to do the mouth I'm totally sold!

I'm so glad I don't live in an inspection state. I don't even have to get smogged anymore since my jeep is 20 years old...

Cheers
