Changed the oil with oriellys high-mileage 10w30 and wix oil filter and some zinc additive, as well as greasing my front end, which apparently was a bit overdue. Each fitting took about 4 pumps each. A couple spit some grease out on the last pump. I didn't damage seals did I?

Its supposed to spit some out to expel whatever else was in there. I like to make sure its fresh grease from that batch to ensure there is no water where it shouldn't be.

Should I continue to expel old grease until fresh red comes out. The grease coming out is nasty looking gray grease

Yes keep pumping until you can see that its only fresh grease left inside.

Maybe I'm missing something, but what's the point of the TJ filler mod? I see so many people doing it, and even the PO of my jeep had a failed attempt at that mod, but I don't see the point? My stock YJ fuel filler works perfect and I've never found it to be in the way or inaccessible ...

So what's the reasoning?

cheers
I hate how the pump handle is a pain to put in the yj filler when your license plate is in the stock location. For me, the pump handle gets caught on the light guard or the pump reset is always kicking in from the handle having to be the filler in a weird angle.

I don't feel like working on anything, at this time.

Well yesterday was somewhat of a fail. I got the d35 pulled out but drilling out the old spring plates was a lot harder than we thought.

This is how far we got cause I had to drive a few towns over to my buddy's machine shop to finish the plates.

Hopefully we don't run into anymore problems. Only things left to buy are hard brake lines and the drive shaft

Same here but I was an idiot and installed these so I'm stuck fighting it either way.

Its cut out for one but the rail will get in the way when filling up. I will still have to go sideways.
