I've never used a angle finder when setting my pinion angle. You can just point the yoke right at the SYE output and then knock it down slightly. Honestly it doesn't need to be that precise.

But yes you are doing it right.

Do you have clearance between the tire and shock at full flex?

Reinstalled my carb that I rebuilt last night. Fired her up for the first time in about 6 years. Did an oil change, changed the oil pressure switch (still not registering on the dash). Knocked off some hornet nests. Cleaned the windows.

Good call on the black paint. The clamp stands out while the stabilizer disappears. Looks good man! Did it help?

I drove an hour and a half out to the JY today to pick up a family cage only to discover that they are no longer open on Saturdays! Mon-Friday only now! : :
Wtf kind of junk yard isn't open on the weekends???

Burned up 3 hours of my day and $20.00 worth of diesel for no reason.

Decided I'm going to change my green stuff to red stuff after all. Other than that, I'm playing the waiting game, waiting on parts to fix/finish my 8.8 swap. I was supposed to go wheeling tomorrow but I guess I'll just go as a photographer on this one.

Oh my YJ, I love to hate you and I hate to love you...but I do!

Cheers

CJ gate looks great! I want one so bad.

Maybe I'm missing something, but what's the point of the TJ filler mod? I see so many people doing it, and even the PO of my jeep had a failed attempt at that mod, but I don't see the point? My stock YJ fuel filler works perfect and I've never found it to be in the way or inaccessible ...

So what's the reasoning?

cheers
