Blasphamy. They don't lile it when you even think about selling them. If you do it will only be a matter of time before you miss your Jeep then you'll regret selling it. Then you want her back only to find out the new owner refuses to part with it so now you gotta fo find another one and start from scratch again. But mark my words you will be back. They always come back ::

I had that same thought once. Then I woke up covered in sweat, heart pounding, hands trembling.
I went wheeling that day for therapy. I'm almost normal again. Maybe only a few more years of therapy.

I ended up restitching my top. The threads came out of zipper and the top that holds the rear right window. One day when I put tension on it, it just popped all the threads. I had it gorilla glued for about 6 months. I broke down and bought a speedy stitcher. The thing works great. That is now officially part of my Jeep fixer upper tool kit. I didn't make it look pretty, but with some practice, you could make the stitching look great.

That probably wouldn't work on the corners would it?

I think it could. It would be a little difficult though. But I think it's doable. I bet you could do it if you used just the need and some pliers. You could get in some pretty tight places that way.

I got 9 of the 11 body mount bolts out today. 1 broken loose captive nut, 1 snapped bolt head.

The last 2 are the ones tucked up by the gas tank... ugh.

I took my son our and Wheeled the yj on Forrest lake trail in UNITA National Forrest. Saw a beaver when a woman was changing clothes outside of her Tacoma. So I had to toot the horn and wave. Lol. Then on my way back down the trail I took a stick threw my sidewall of one of my new tires. I'll be adding pics to my build tread later. All in all the stock Yj impressed me on the trail it's been quite some time since I've wheeled a stock rig. I was behind a group of people with a few Jk rubis on 37's who had no clue what they were doing at one point your forced to go threw a deep water pit that is offcamber with water that was upto the front turnsignal and the guy with the rubi said I won't make it he barley did. I crawled into the water and rode behind my wave with no issues he was mind boggled. I said experience my friend. I know he was probably embarrassed to get proved wrong by a stock 24 year old jeep when he spent 40k lol

That will make cleaning the sand out a lot easier. I can't wait to head back to the island next summer. I am going through some nasty coast withdraws.

Pulled out the heater box to replace the whole unit with a new one. Sanded and prepped my
tach, speedometer, the used dash I am installing. Treated them with a rust converter so they
will be ready to be primed tomorrow. Popped off some rusted metal from the left front
fender. Going to sand and prep for bondo. Sanded parts of the dash frame to prepare to
be treated with a rust converter. Ordered some more parts.

Last Thursday out of the blue I had someone make me an offer while I was leaving the store. It was just about what I have invested in her...I got a sick feeling in my stomach like I was loosing a part of me. I told him to give me a week to think about it. After spending 7 months of my life building my dream Jeep, I just can't see myself letting go for "Breaking Even".
