I swapped the tps and the whole iac peice off of the side (the part that says 4.0) and it works perfectly. Idled a little over a grand when I first started it after the swap but dropped and now it idles around 800. Mine came off of a 98 tj so I also had to block off the maf sensor since ours isn't mounted to the tb.
Thanks, i figured it out yesterday. Its finning good just idles a little high. Think i have to back out the screw a little.
heh, thanks.. I see its on Amazon with the gun for $107.. Is that about right?
I need to line the inside of mine. Did you use the entire kit on the jeep? was there enough in the one kit?
What kind of PSI requirements does the gun need? I need a vertical compressor.. the 2gal compressor I have won't cut it.
first time "fixing a rusty vehicle". My next challenge is the rear shock perches.. the passenger side is rusted through a couple places. I could leave it, but it would fail.. The trick is.. do I replace both of them, or just the one that needs it. If I cannot find a OEM part to weld in, I may have to craft 2 new ones out of the remaining 2x4 box I have left.
thinking I could notch one side, so that it slides down onto the top of the frame, then would give me enough place to weld it in place.. then the stop part.. not sure the best way to have the shock attach to it.
I went out to the garage and fiddled a bit with it.. then decided I better do some more research.
It came with 4 bottles and I used 3 bottles to complete the inside. I found ~70PSI works the best for me. Had also done the hardtop in the same stuff a year back and its still great with no sun fading.
I built this box for two 12's to go behind the rear seat. I didn't like the thought of "Joe the Crackhead" helping himself to my tunes. So I made a brace to keep them secure from easy picking when the top is off. The last 2 pics show how it bolts down. It's not fool proof, but it helps.

And as for me, I put the doors back on so I could lock it up for my girlfriend. Took the dogs up to Wrightwood and looked at a bunch of people's crap they were trying to get rid of. Saw a Scrambler and a Commando. I'd prefer the Commando but id but either in a heart beat if the offered it at a price I could afford
