Well I didn't do much today, but I did finish welding the through pipe for the rear shackle, and then put a nice heavy coat of under body coating on the frame rail and all the rusty areas, after grinding them down a little bit.
Next step, weld in new shock towers/perch in the rear, and put it all back together.
I used U-POL Raptor liner. It's a kit that had 4 bottles and 1 can of hardener and a spray gun. They can be sold without the gun though so make sure it says it has it included. They are also tintable to several colors, the color tints are sold separately for that type though. I got the one that says bed liner it comes black. Prep work is key obviously and sprays fast.
Btw, your frame repair looks awesome!

Might wanna look into how many amps your remote wire puts out to possibly run those fans.
Not sure I wanna risk it, it's pretty thin and it runs off of the ign. instead of the remote/power antenna. I'll probably run a slightly thicker wire when I redo it all and have the fans on the ign. + toggle switch.
I always get people coming over and saying things like "I wish I knew how to do that," etc- but they don't realize- at some point I didn't know how to do it either- I had to figure it out.
Took the top off. Then decided to rewire the speakers discovered they were ok. Wire loomed most of the wires. Discovered that the tweeters don't work so removed them. Then found out the drivers side dash speaker doesn't work. So going to have to take dash off so can replace it. Anyone know what size to get. Found 3 or 4 wires that go nowhere and removed them. Then found a wire running from the battery into the cab but it is cut so no idea what it goes to. It has a 20 amp fuse inline. Then took her for a drive top down with the wife and daughter. All in all a good first day of summer.
Edit: notice the Mickey Mouse antennae topper the daughter bought for me.
Picked up what I needed from the past store to finish the elec. fuel pump install, some sea foam, and more rust block primer and spray liner to do the wheel wells. Talked to my powder coat guy..my new to me set of 15x10 d-windows will be media blasted and coated next week. I'm debating the color...flat black or red? Afraid the red would be a bit too much "bling"

I finished my Jeep today. Started it up, ran through the gears etc.. but it's still on the jack stands.
I am going to finish up some other stuff on it this week like new brakes/rotors and the Riddler diff cover on the D30.
I need to trim my winch plate for the Hawse fairlead too.
Oil change and lube all the zerks, give everything underneath a good look from bumper to bumper.
Should be ready for Big Bear by Wednesday.

Just bought a 4.0l TB. Can someone tell me which sensor i need to keep from the 4.0tb?
I swapped the tps and the whole iac peice off of the side (the part that says 4.0) and it works perfectly. Idled a little over a grand when I first started it after the swap but dropped and now it idles around 800. Mine came off of a 98 tj so I also had to block off the maf sensor since ours isn't mounted to the tb.

Serviced the factory Auto Trans , Are all the shiny aluminum shavings good ? They sure are Pretty !! Reinstalled the polyurethane T case mount I pulled last year hunting down vibration , hope its not as bad as I remember . Of course it turned into a cleaning and repainting party , so it took all day . Tomorrow is Trans Cooler 2.0 , going to try a radiator mount instead of a frame rail mount .
