Dropped my body lift today...finally!
Broke a fuel line in the process. :
Fixed that and wrapped up the YJ for the day and moved on to my buddy's JKU. Painted and installed his lubelocker and Riddler diff cover for him.

Some pics...
Before

After

Diff cover for my friend's JKU

Time to get my drink on. I'm beat!
And as usual, more pics in my build thread!

Cheers

Pulled the lights off the front bumper. The pass top bolt is seized sprayed pb and torched it. No luck. If it doesn't co operate tomorrow I'll put the torx bit on the impact wrench and slowly try work the sucker loose. Might see if I cant get some grade 8 hex bolts as a replacement for these old ones.

Try an impact driver before the impact wrench.

If my home depot carries those (they should, right?) I will. If not I'll have to turn the settings way down and 1/2 psi and baby it, or just continue with the torch-and-breaker bar technique. I know the torx bits aren't meant to take THAT much of a beating lol

They go pretty quickly and they're not fun to drill out. Luckily they start you off center punched. I'm wondering if tht was considered into the design.

Today I changed the tranny oil, man it was bad brown and smelly, also repaired the rear exhaust bracket. All now good.

I added a pair of recovery hooks to the front bumper a couple days ago. Went wheeling with a few people in my club yesterday.

For the stubborn torx bolts , I spray them with PB blaster and find a tapered punch that fits inside the torx hole and give I a couple hard blows with a hammer. So far it has worked good for me.
