Mine runs at 210 even in 110 degree desert heat. Thats normal. Todays computerized engines are ok with that. Unless you reprogram it running a lower temp can mess with how it runs.

... continued working on the frame repair that spiralled out of control.

Today I fixed the frame at the center tc skidplate bolt,
por15'd the areas of the frame that the plate mounts to,
replaced the trans mount,
bolted up the freshly painted (not rusted out) replacement skid plate,
removed the sensor and tangs from the top of the 8.8,
found some carriage bolts to plug the holes with,
welded those on after taking advantage of the hole to fill diff with new fluid after replacing the gasket on the cover.

I also yanked all but 2" of the breather tube from the tank.. saw a thread earlier about how its supposed to let the tank fill to the actual top.

Yesterday I made and installed sway bar extensions/disconnects to go with the lift - it made it alot easier having the ubolt plates at the bottom of the swing arm disconnected when bolting up the front axle with the new springs, shackles, and paint (that reassembly also yesterday)...
oh.. and put two new tie rod ends on the drag link.

and apparently all the pics I wanted to attach are too large and I dont feel like messing with it right now. Maybe eventually I'll do a build thread.

I took it swimming

No one has been through the back loop in over a year. Infact, I was the last one in our group to do it and it was getting bad then. Every other mud hole at this place has either dried up or filled in and you can cruise through them in 2WD so I was talked into it since Im the only one really setup for deep stuff...

As you can see, it was higher before I took the pick. My feet were under water on the pedals and the trans tunnel was covered lol

And my buddys stockish Land rover playing in some puddles lol

(The front loop)

He ended up breaking his front and rear bumpers into a bunch of pieces, no more fog lights, as you can see the headlight and dragged *** all through the trails but he made it out lol

I would post some pictures but they are too big and I do not know how to resize them on the phone.
If you have a smartphone or an I-Phone, download the Photobucket app. You can use this app to post pics onto the JF directly from the Photobucket site. If you decide to, you can even enable automatic photo uploads when you take a pic. If you don't have a Photobucket account, just simply fill in the information and get started.

I agree with p. If you swap your 195 thermostat for a 180 the computer will recognize that your engine is still in warm up mode and run a richer fuel mixture. It's really no big deal to run your temps up to 220* or even 230* at times, as long as you are running a tight cooling system, and you are using the proper antifreeze/water mixture, mininum 50/50, up to 70/30. I run a 70/30 mix due to my colder and harsher winters here in NE Utah where the inversion can set in for several weeks at below zero temps, even during the day.

Or you can simply check your camera options and change the pixel size.

Ditto. 210 on the button regardless of the weather. No changes from my mechanical fan to the electric fan either!

It must be that time of year!
I've spent the last week sorting out my cooling system : new radiator, new thermostat, new radiator cap, fresh coolant, and a Taurus fan that I think I finally got set up.

Yay for 100* temps lol!
I still want to louver my hood too.

Cheers
