Amen to the anti seize.

Frame has solid paint, I am touching up the skid plate..

Got the frame new in 2004 and painted it with a brush and good old rustoleum. The paint has held up very well to date..

Just pulled a 2500 duramax crew cab out of a ditch, with my "puny" jeep.

I welded up all my exhaust leaks and tried once again to align it and still did poorly...

Then I used it to go pick up flowers for the gf since I've been a dick all week

Good move but keep in mind that flowers are more effective as 'preventative maintenance'.

I just made her bacon as an apology in lieu of flowers. Her mentality is centered around bacon not growing on trees.

this front end thing is extremely puzzling.smooth up to 35 shimmy at 35-45, smooth up to 60-65 where the front tires start to bounce, then smooth all the way up to 90 which is all faster i'm willing to test.

Hey that makes me wonder, is there supposed to be anything between the frame and the skid plate. Since I am putting on a SYE I am getting rid of the lowering spacer, and for the life of me I cant remember if they had anything between the frame and the skid plate. Seems like it might cause rust if it sits right on the frame.
Glad I saw this, as I was planning on putting that tranny drop kit in. I'll be sure to find some stainless hex bolts to use instead.

As aside, would it make sense in your case, with removing the lowering kit, instead of just mounting the skid to the frame, to throw a stainless washer between the two?
