I know you're a big fan of the 6" to keep it legal, but around here they don't care too much about any of that, and I like the sleeker look of the 4".

Why do ya ask?

cheers

Edit: I'm thinking about doing the 6" in the back though. Even though the 5-0 won't bother me about it (I don't have any flares on right now, and have had no problems) I want to have enough coverage to not be an a-hole throwing crap all over other cars on the road. I may go pick up a stock TJ flare from CL today and bolt it on. They are right around 4" and I'll know if it's enough then.
I asked out of curiosity. legality didn't matter to me because its the rear here that matters and I'm not even close to being within the scope of the law. I went with the 6" flares because I had planned to use them as armor and the further I could protrude the fenders the more tire I could protect when it came to slamming into rocks and trees at 1 mph. My src sliders pick up where the cloaks leave off.

Makes sense. I'll just go with the 4" then and keep it even up front and back if the 6" flare doesn't make much of an impact. I'm planning on getting the 'cloak sliders as well, so I figure my body should have plenty of protection.

Crazy right? We have our own, weird, micro economy here. Big city prices in a smallish town. It's stupid. Most of it's because of the "boom" we had here in the late 90s-early 2000s. Then everything crashed, the jobs went away, but the prices stayed the same.

Retarded.

Cheers

Added some 80s bling to my classic jeep or is it an antique now at almost 25 years old?

Oh and my LED dash lights shipped. Should be here tomorrow so I can....toss them on the mounting pile lol.

I think I'll go source bolts for the body mounts today. Does anyone know what sizes are needed for all the body mounts? I can just pull a few of them, but if someone could save me the hassle that would be sweet.

Cheers
Nice what sound bar is that?

VDP 6 Speaker Sound Bar in textured black plastic with dome lights. I think I paid $180.00 for it. Not having a sound bar sucks.

All I have right now is the two front dash speakers, the sound wedges with 6x9s (the ones that go down by the cage/tub) and to 6" "bazooka" type thumpers sitting on the fender wells. All the sound just "blows out" while driving. I'm going to ditch the 6" woofer tubes (take up too much valuable room for not a lot of punch) and hopefully the sound bar will kick it!

Can't drive or wheel without tunes!

Cheers

Got the POS skyjacker transmission skid plate bolts out of my frame.

The heads which use a small a allen key to drive them were so rusted out after just 9yrs that 4 of the six stripped out with using very little force. I had to go with the old sawzall and cut the skid plate spacer that was not going back on anyway. Once I put the wrench to the bolts today they came out with very little effort.

Hey that makes me wonder, is there supposed to be anything between the frame and the skid plate. Since I am putting on a SYE I am getting rid of the lowering spacer, and for the life of me I cant remember if they had anything between the frame and the skid plate. Seems like it might cause rust if it sits right on the frame.
