Yeah... I went the $$ route... Waggy D44 + ox locker + chromoly shafts (no shafts in the housing I got for short $... waggy's are getting rare!) almost got the gears installed.

FINALLY went and rebuilt the drag link and tie rod yesterday. Welded the bungs I had made into the tube. I think I have plenty of thread engagement now. I'll have to post the installed pic later. Only have build up to the welding on my phone.

Da bung

Tube prep

Bung smashed into the tube (nice tight fit)

Both ready for weld

For the LED mod, all I did was buy LED bulbs and swap them out. It required a phillips screwdriver and 10 minutes of time...

The 4 wd light is more of an idiot light as if you can't tell if you are in 4wd... when I put the xj axle in I just ripped out all the vacuum lines and out caps on the indicator/vacuum switch on the transfercase. Less crap that isn't needed on my rig. However if you really need the light change the YJ switch to a TJ switch then run electrical connections. IMO it is a waste of time as with mine engaged in 4wd my grandmother would be able to tell.

Online, I will have to see if I can find the receipt and let you know. They are a bit pricey for each bulb but well worth it and they don't burn up like a regular one.

Got these delivered yesterday. Thanks Amazon.com for $4 next day shipping. Going to pull the bearings from the old shafts so I can get the backing plates and press in the new bearings, wheel studs etc tonight. Install will be tomorrow or Friday.

started to try and figure out why I have no travel in the front end. Bent shock shaft might have something to do with it. Bent limiting me to 2 inches of shock travel on the passangers side thus not letting the drivers side droop out like it should. Once i decided on springs I'll get a new set of shocks. thinking profenders
