Well i slapped on both the TJ grill and hood. I had to fab up some hinges (combined some TJ and YJ hinges) because the hood and cowl holes didnt line up. I also cut up the hood on the sides to kind of re-arch it. I bolted in some hood louvers to bring it all together for now but I might weld in some new sheet metal at some point. But it'll do for now. The TJ grille is a bit wider and shaped a bit differently where it bolts to the fenders. The fenders will tend to bend up just a bit when bolted to the TJ grille. I actually like the look. But either way i'll be fabbing my own tube fenders in the near future so no biggy. Overall i'm very happy with the way it came out. Once The tube fenders are fabbed up i'll paint the whole jeep to give it a more harmonious look.

Yea same here. Im very happy with this swap altho its not completely finished yet. I say go for it. And if it doesnt turn out the way you want, u can always put the old YJ front clip back on!

CJ is much easier as stated by many others above. In my case, I lifted the body 2 inches an lengthened the grill support about 1 inch. An all the body parts bolted right on. The hardest part of the swap was the cooling system. Finding the correct radiator an cooling fan package to work.

Lift almost complete! Had to take to a shop because I wasn't equipped for removing a lot of the bolts, so far looking good! Should be done tomorrow. Most happy because there was pretty much no rust! Not bad for a 25 year old east coast yj!!

Sweet! Thanks for the replies.... I know it's blasphemy. But CJ front clips are just gorgeous. I'd love to throw one on!
