Drove it for the first time in a while after spending a couple weeks in New Mexico on a missions trip. We went to see the Arches in Utah also. Had to drive through Moab to get there which made me miss her that much more! Needless to say I spent a bit of gas today going nowhere.

I ordered the Tera 2WD Low kit for the NP231. I already have my case on the bench for my engine swap and I still have the case open from swapping the input shaft the other day, so it should only take a few extra minutes.

We are pretty sure it was a bunch of situational things that caused the break. Stuff you couldn't repeat if you tried, cuz everyone else made it up. What we are figuring is a ubolt strap went, causing the upper shock mounts to break, thus allowing the axle to swing forward, dropping the spring. He was having issues with his front locker not engaging properly (at all sometimes), so rear axle pushed, front didn't pull, then a really loud bang followed by 3 people yelling STOP! Good times.

Believe it or not, he drove it out in FWD.

Did you use nightshades for that? Is the visibility decent now? I tinted my taillights already, but I've been thinking about doing the turn signals.

Yes I did the visibility is good, and still has the yellow tint when the are on. I did the tails also and need a partner to see how dark I painted them.

I think I might do it tonight (instead of packing/moving like I should be doing). I don't want to have to worry about little stuff like this after the jeep is completely done being wet sanded and buffed. How many coats did you use for the turn signals?

Also, with your flares were they hard to get back in? Taking them off was a PITA! I ordered new clips so hopefully it won't be completely awful.

Replaced front ujoint in the cv shaft that tried to throw the cap on Saturday. Added some LS additive to the rear since we had to throw in whatever we had cuz she was low this weekend. Spent the next 30 minutes admiring the new battle scars from Uwharrie. Also noticed that it's time I finally put on the new shock tabs and make some upper relocation brackets since 2 of the scars were the bent up lower tabs that came on the stock spring plates from the donor exploder. That may, however, have to wait till winter. 95 today, 99 tomorrow. Damn hot on an asphalt driveway.

Added a filing/desk drawer cabinet lock to center console. Bought from Home Depot for $4.79. PO installed homemade cover....I'm basically the 2nd owner but technically the 3rd owner. The 2nd owner (older neighbor down the street) only owned it for roughly four months and only put 1,500 miles on it). Anyway, the original lid was gone...and I added a lock to the replaced wooden one. Center locks now and can keep things inside. A must need since I'm going to be taking the doors off soon.

Not Jeep related....visited ex-girlfriend.....gave her a birthday present that you can't buy from the store...if you know what I mean.

I would rather have a broke Jeep, than no Jeep at all.
