After a yr since installing the tires and lift. I finally actually wheeled it and boy I had a blast. The chevy is my good friend's truck and later that day he broke a front axle. My d35 made it!!!! Lol

What did I do today...cleaned the mud from last Sunday off, and looked at why one of my skidplate mounting bolts was just spinning. The PO had already cut holes in the frame to deal with spinning weld nuts, so whatever was wrong now was with a standard locknut. And, it looks like the PO made too sloppy a torch cut in the bottom of the frame rail when he took out the weld nuts, and my flat washer wasn't wide enough to bridge the hole. So, my plan is to cut the bottom half of the frame out in the skidplate mounting area, make patches out of channel stock or 2 pieces of angle welded together, with 1" square & 3/4" thick steel blocks welded to the inside of the patch and tapped for 1/2-20 bolts. It's not super high on my list of priorities now, the other 5 bolt holes are in good shape so I know the skidplate isn't going to drop off while I'm driving. I'm thinking a good time to do it will be when I swap my transfer case.

I bought this old yj a couple weeks ago.

and finally got to wheel it last Thursday on a really fun trail.

Then had to get it home this way lol

She was loosing power after warming up and driving about 5 miles. So I tuned her up installed a fuel pressure gauge and took her for another spin. Same problem as before but I got to see the fuel pressure drop off this time. So off to the parts store for a new pump and pick up. After installing the new pump the jeep ran out great.
Time for lockers!!!!!

Bought my first part from Qtech. It was only the bushing for the rear output on the transfer case but it counts. Between four part stores only one had the seal and could cross reference the part number for the bushing. I knew I should have just ordered both of them.

It sounds like you might go both ways with your head.

Lol, don't get me wrong, 33s and 3.07 gears= 1 slow yj, but mine.... (excessive emphasis on this) SLOW. And another yj with a 4.0 with the EXACT SAME exhaust system as mine came to my work, and it sounded totally different... I can't figure it out. I think it's actually a 4.2.

I have a 4.2l w/4.0l head, 5-speed, 3.07s, and 33s, and mine is far from slow. The 4.2l is actually a lot of engine for a light vehicle. How's your tune & timing?

Removed every wire that connected into this. Just trying to make the wiring a little more simple.

As far as tune and timing, I haven't changed anything from the way it was.... It's been like this as long as I owned it, but I drove a few other wranglers now, and mine just doesn't keep up. Since this thread gets so much attention, can someone post a link to a thread to show what tune/timing should be? Or what else to look for?
