Had a couple of really stressful days at work, and I would come home and all I wanted to do was work on the Jeep. I was planning to go to Rausch this weekend but I can't get off work so that was a bust. And I dropped about $150 on a new exhaust system. $80 cat, $30 muffler, $25 tailpipe, plus odds and ends. But at least everything lines up with the hangers now, no more squeaking against the leaf springs, or using electrical wire to hold it up. I'll have to put up a picture of the hack welded cat that I took out, it was awful. I felt so bad for taking it out though because it was only a year or two old. I hate replacing things that still work, feels like I'm wasting my money

Just finished hooking up all the 4WD vacuum lines, and ordering some from the engine. 4wd working perfectly and even the 4wd light on the dash is working! Back to the mud :P

Today I dropped the tranny, pulled the bellhousing I cracked in half, installed new bellhousing on the tranny, installed new slave cylinder I broke, put the tranny back up in the air, swapped parts from my old 231 I broke into the new one, installed the new transfer case, replaced the rear U joints, bled the slave cylinder, and finally took a nap. Whew.... long day.

Yesterday I went to the local pull a part and got a xj front drive shaft for my sye. Went back today and got a front drive shaft and yoke from a 88 Comanche and a tilt stearing column with intermittent wipers from a 94 Cherokee.

drove it to work, doorless and windowless...keeping a safari top on because sun+bald head=uncomfortable shaving experience. Changed the oil and air filter. Applied some stickon mirrors to the top corners of the windshield for merge moments.

ENJOYED THE HELL OUT OF EVERY MOMENT!!!

I know how you feel, have to convince myself that I will be better off in the end with the new and improved though.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it. Well not always, there is ALWAYS room for improvement.

Made a spacer for my hand throttle, secures to the shifter with set screws. Just need to tweak the inside diameter, and send it out for Black Oxide coating.

We did a Prescott trail run before. Started in the low desert then wound up in the forest. Craziest thing I've seen.
