Getting ready to toy around in the garage.
5" OD x 4.25" ID x 3/8"W DOM.
For this:
Also picked up a 2' piece of 2.25" x .120W chromo for when I shorten & sleeve my front drive shaft.
Anybody got a hacksaw with a fresh blade I can borrow?

Well, I made a license plate light after installing the LED flush-mount taillights, in the necessity of legality.
A bit of scrap metal, LED strip light from AutoZone and some JBWeld and this is what I got:
The plate JB welded to the license plate frame:

LED strip light adhered to the metal plate beneath:

The wire disappearing into the body to marry up to the park light wire to the taillight:

Final product:

Almost looks like it's supposed to be there.

I'm going D60s. The 8.8 just don't seam big enough and the Dana 60 sounds cooler than 8.8

Not a bad choice. The only reasons to go 8.8 over a 60 is to keep the 5x4.5 pattern and stock width. Strength wise they are close.
No reason to swap it in vs a 60 or stronger if you don't care about those two things.

Sure.
A while back I installed a fullwidth HPD60, outboarded my spring perches, and installed ARTEC hysteer.
The hysteer links, during flex, contact the bottom of the frame. A common remedy is to french the frame to make room so that the links don't contact the frame and get additional suspension up travel by doing so.
The links are up mighty high.
However, during flex this will happen - which needed to be addressed:
Poser flex testing showed the drag link would contact the bottom of the framerail:
Hard to tell by this - but it does contact:
