Then I set the ammo can where it was going to go and drilled thru the holes in the ammo can I had just drilled to drill holes into the tub to mount it.

Then I used some small bolts and a lock washer to mount the bottom of the ammo can to the tub.

After I drilled into the tub I forgot to file off any sharp edges and when I went to put the nut on the bottom a sharp edge caught my thumb and it bled pretty good for a few minutes.

Here's the finished product sitting nice and level.

Overall, I'm real pleased with the result. It is mounted level and very stoutly. An although it doesn't look like it would hold very much it's amazing how much I can fit in there. I took a bunch of stuff that I normally keep in my toolbag in the back and relocated it to the ammo can. I now have in there 2 wrench sets (1/4" - 7/8" & equivalent metrics) a couple of screwdrivers, spare fuses, needle nose pliers, adjustable pliers, a small can of WD-40, a pair of gloves, three shop rags, and a few other odds and ends I'm not remembering right now.

Here's a poser flexing pic since I just got my lift a few weeks ago.

I went out and kicked it for not passing inspection last week. Going again in the morning.

What the hell were they thinking when they required the pass seat to be bolted to the floor

I cracked open the AX-5, and a little piece of metal fell out. It's not a gear tooth. It's small 1/4" square piece of metal with a notch on one end. Maybe it is why it keeps popping out of second gear when I decelerate. It's just not a good sign.

Synchro or something?

I'm going to sand down the inside of the tailgate and test out a couple different rattle cans of OD Green

Thank you sir, murdered out FTW.

Tonight I wasted a good chunk of my shift working on a plate to mount switches to which I snapped in the brake when I tried to put a little bend in it. My fault though I accidentally cut the aluminium so I'd be bending with the grain, but decided to push forward anyway. Saw it coming...

Engine was turning over, but not "catching," so I replaced the less than 3-year-old battery (damn Walmart never-start POS) and gave 'er a tune-up. After new plugs, wires, distributor cap and rotor button, she runs like right off the showroom floor.

Next weekend? A little frame repair/welding and the 2" BDS lift is going on. Pics to come.

I got a Jeep, it's lifted and it's got crap bolted to it.

tested the OD Green that I'm going to paint the rest of the rig in, sprayed the under body with Rust eating paint and tested out a bed liner spray for the tub (bed first, then the cab)
