Drove home from the California coast yesterday. For about 40 minutes was in fairly heavy snow. Do all you folks in 4-letter country (snow) have trouble with the right side wiper getting blocked?

Looks nice. I have the same Rio Grande Jeep, but I've been wondering does it originally come with a tan top from the dealer?

Scored a Bestop Sail Cloth Top, frame and windows for $90 on CL. One small professionally repaired tear at the front, and a 2" drivers side window tear at the bottom (unrepaired). All I need are the corner, side and back rails and I'll be good to go, so if y'all have any you want to sell to me, dont be shy!

Jo-ann fabrics sells a iron on patch that works great. Just make sure you iron it on the inside.

Replaced driver side wheel bearings (inner / outer / spindle). Once I get home from work, pulling the passenger, and expecting I'll have to do the same. So much for PO stating axle was just redone

I tore out the alarm system. It all looked factory when I was tinkering down there a couple weeks ago. The only thing I'm unsure about is one of the wires ran from the box to a relay which is connected into a green wire and a blue wire by the steering column. I was curious as to what those wires would be for

Turns out the relay was for the ignition. I nearly s*** myself when I unplugged it to check for voltage and it wouldn't start. Then I couldn't figure out how it was wired. Works though now. Haha

Took out the track bars. Best thing I ever did, wish I had done it a long time ago.

Got one of the new side steps on. HighRock slider step from Bestop

Here it is pulled down

and here it is up

Instructions say 1-2 hours to install. Don't have a clue who does the time estimating for some of these projects, but they should hold a seminar and actually prove they can do these things in that time frame. Driver's side took me over 3 hours after gathering up the tools, but the passenger side should go quicker
