Garage
Got my YJ off the trailer after getting home from buying it, washed the underside to get all the road sand, salt, and various road grime off of it, and took it around the block for the first time.

I got a extra set of hard doors yesterday from a friend of mine. I put them on instead and now I can open my doors from the inside again. I feel pretty lucky now that I have two sets. The ones I got came off a 85 CJ apparently but had been modified to fit a yj.

Snapped the ears of the drivers side axle shaft while playing in the snow.Guess I'll upgrade with a chromoly shaft on that side so maybe it will be less likely to happen again.Of course I had a spare shaft for the other side.Any thoughts on the best shaft for a good price?yjmcb

Finalized the deal on the reman '99 4.0 with under 10k miles that is going to be the new lump in my rig. This motor purrs, it's easily the smoothest running 4.0 I've seen in years. It should be ready to pick up by Monday. I'll be grabbing a '97 TJ 32RH auto trans too when I pick it up, I finalized that deal too. I plan to drop my NP242 on the back, then assemble everything in the garage before I tear my '89 apart. I'm still figuring out the shifters...

'89 YJ 4.2 5 speed, Spinnaker blue/grey, hard top and doors, vintage fitted rear speaker boxes but otherwise stock and RUST FREE!!

Yesterday I did the 2.5L throttle body upgrade. Not sure if it really gave me more power or if its just wishful thinking but it seems to have more torch. I also installed my new rampage tire carrier that i got off Amazon $277.

And i installed the LED rock lights I got about a week ago. Its on my door switch for when i open up the doors the lights come on now hopefully my wife will stop complaining about hitting here shins on my steps.
