Slapped some masking tape on my rear window after busting it. I emailed a guy selling one on craigslist. Hope he replies soon.

Found my wire wheel and got the floor pan 90% welded in. Just need to cut one more piece into the trans tunnel and get it welded in. Then, fix the rocker rust that I cut out.

Guess all that's really left after that is to fix a leak in the rear brakes and toss a plate on it.

I've got a few good pieces of scrap that will make for some nice rocker guards. Can't wait to start working on some actual upgrades and maybe even drive it once

Pulled some folks out of ditches due to the "blizzard" we had in the Austin area People around here can't drive in bad weather to save their life. Also found out that my transfer case likes to pop itself out of 4hi so I'll be adjusting the linkage tomorrow.

[QUOTE=simpkijd;10906461]I found myself dreaming about a wonderful summer day. Seems so far away but soon the temp will hit 85 deg and all will be well...

Might not be a summer day but it felt like one here in Southern CA. today

It's still funny to me that YJ's came with things such as windshield washer fluid reservoirs, power steering and air conditioners. Of course mine doesn't have any of these.

The windows were so dirty today I could no longer safely see out of them, so they got a quick rinse. Of course I had to have some fun first.

Finished all the welding I'm going to do on the floor pan and got the rocker welded in. Did a lot more than I expected to. Just have to trim the bottom of the rocker off, and bend a little lip on the bottom...then I can start with a little bit of filler and some paint.

Picked it up from the shop today.

It had horribly failed the smog test. Vacuum hoses and one of the metering rods in the carb was stuck on top of the jet. All together it ended up costing 300 but my girlfriends parents love me for some reason so they decided to pay for the labor and I had to get the smog myself. Then went and put my hard top on.

I was driving home a little while ago and my lights cut out, a couple of times. I'm going to look into that soon and maybe even mount a switch for my brights. All in all, just glad to have it on the road.

Was happening to me all the time. Take the headlight switch out and take the cover off. there are couple of sets of contacts in there. I cleaned them up with some 2000 wet dry paper and then cleaned with some brake cleaner. Has not happened again, been several months!
