what can I do.

My daily driver is a yj with a 11 inch lift. 37 inch tires on the stock axles and gears. I have a 4 cylinder engine backed by the ax5 tranny. My gas milage is about 7 and I can't get past 3rd gear or 45 miles an hour. My two hour a day freeway drive is killing me. How can I get better MPH and MPG for this thing. I only have a couple hundred bucks.

Take your couple hundred bucks and put an add in the paper to sell your jeep and buy that civic. Honestly you are a hazard and a danger to yourself and everyone else on the freeway at 45 mph!!
When you get enough money someday you can buy a jeep like that as a toy. It has no business on any public roadway for that matter.

I wondered why the baseball kept getting bigger and bigger....then it hit me!

^ that's a bit rush to judgement without knowing much about how it's built other than what he said its lifted. Other than getting sum mustang 5.0 injectors and cleaning out the fuel system I'd say there isn't much in terms of mpg gain to be had with that large of tires and that small of an engine. U could regear which will give u ur power back but it won't help ur mpg. Only thing u could really do to help it is put on smaller tires..all other options would prob deal with lowering it sum and I'm not the guy to talk to about that. Dude above me that posted would think mine is too high as well but there is nothing dangerous about mine...good luck n let us no what u decide to do.

I'm just trolling guys, my yj has a 5/8 shackle lift and 31's. Granted, i do have a 5.3 and 37's and 1 tons in the shop ready to put in, but I thought it would be fun to see the responses.

I was mostly talking about only being able to go 45 mph on a freeway 2 hours every day when all other traffic is doing 80 to 100 mph. That is certainly not safe!

I say off with the trolls head!!!!!!
