Q: Was he offered the Moderator role because of all of his constructive posts? Just want to make sure I don't fall into the same trap.

Partially. If you scroll down a bit to where it reads; "How do I become a moderator?" it mentions some of the process.

Yeah I think I seen it of Pelandale once or twice. Recognized the dog. I may or may not have almost crashed breaking my neck to check it out.
