Weber install help on a 87 YJ
Installed a 32/32 weber on a friends yj and have an issue. The carb act like it is not getting any gas unless we have the old electric jets plugged in. Does anyone know how to bypass this

What do you mean by old electric jets plugged in?

I will need to get back over to his house and snap some pics of it. The origanol carb had a round tapered tube comming out the firewall side of the carb. This plugged into a black plug. When you take that off the carb there is two what look like needle valves maybe?, if that isnt plugged up the jeep wont get gas at all. Have tried primming it with starting fluid and will run till it burns it out then it dies again. but if you plug that up it runs with no issues

Is this a new weber carb, or a used one? May want to check the float

Ok here is a pic of the peice installed on the old weber. We have had rain here so havnt been able to get by to take pics of it off the carb yet. If that peice isnt plugged in the carb wont get fuel. Is it because we did not use the FPR

The picture clears things up. That's like the Carter carb. The one I took off of my 87 had a "rebuilt by Weber" tag on it too. I just forgot about that tag. And that part is a piece of the electronics control of the carb. There is something called the Nutter bypass that may help you some. Search the forum for some help on it.
