I was seriously considering the warrior tube flares. Then I got to thinking.... I can make something like that.

It wasn't that hard to do. The bends were done with cheepo HF bender that everyone says doesn't work and I welded them with a cheepo HF 90 amp flux welder. I have since bought a better welder but the cheap tools did what I asked of them and I am happy with what I ended up with.

These are one of my most hated products. At least plastic flares give. These are the worst of both worlds.

You hit a tree with these flairs and you will damage the fender the flair is attached to.

The flair needs to be attached to a piece of armor, plain and simple. Front and rear.
Or.
The flair needs to give, and transfer no energy to the fender.

Tube flairs should stop body damage, not cause it.

This is true in most instances. I however will be needing a set for tire coverage not trail damage protection.
